THE STORY OF ART URBANE
Art Urbane has an ambitious goal to proliferate a funding model for creative organizations through fine art and design sales. In essence, Art Urbane is an Art for Art™ platform.
Art Urbane sprung from Public Art Initiative (P-AI.com). PAI is a creative development consulting and art event’s production company. Creative projects and art nonprofits could have the best development strategy, but if they continue to tap strained government dollars and donate so much time acquiring funds, the mission and essence of the nonprofit is adversely affected. Art Urbane was born as an efficient, streamlined solution to optimize funding systems for creative nonprofits and help artists and designers continue their “craft” as a lucrative profession through art sales.
The founder of Art Urbane, Jessica Beavers, has worked in business development for start-up enterprises her entire career landing her at a private equity firm, where she was promoted from Entrepreneur-In-Residence to Vice President of Venture Management. Following her passion in the arts and with an understanding that public art is a public asset that leads to cultural and economic development, she left the corporate world in private equity and Public Art Initiative and Art Urbane were born.
