Maya Beano: Poetry in Images
Maya Beano is not an artist of many words - her website blazes with images that come from a color rainbow consisting of dark, melodic blues and greens contrasted by poetic, and slightly playful, pinks and purples.
Blurred persons, stark but dulled and hyper-emerald enriched landscapes are the words that express the person behind the 35mm film camera.
Rarely can imagery surmount/challenge proper poetry as a form of expression, and in this case, we think her images stand true to that.
Born in 1991 in Amman, Jordan, Maya Beano is based in Cambridge and London, UK.
